Up 'Til Dawn Event Culminates Six Months of Fundraising Efforts by Mount Union Students
February 12, 2009
Students at Mount Union College will be staying “Up ‘til Dawn” on Friday, February 20, but this time it won’t be for studying. Instead, they will celebrate a successful year of fundraising through Up ‘til Dawn, a program dedicated to the lifesaving work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The event will take place at 8 p.m. in the Kresge Dining Commons of the Hoover-Price Campus Center. During the evening, students will be entertained by a wide variety of activities.
A local St. Jude family will also attend the event to remind the participants why their hard work is so important to the world-renowned hospital.
The Up ‘til Dawn event is the culmination of six months of fundraising activities to benefit the kids of St. Jude. The total amount of money Mount Union students raised will be announced at the closing of the event.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, Tennessee, St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world.
