Up 'til Dawn

Up ‘til Dawn is a collegiate fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This program is in its twelfth year and has been held at over 300 colleges and university nationwide, raising over six million dollars annually.

Mount Union joined the Up ‘til Dawn family three years ago and has raised more than $200,000.00 during this time for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Mount Union was also winner of the “Rookie of the Year” award at the 2009 St. Jude Collegiate Leadership Seminar in Memphis, Tennessee. In fact, Mount Union did so well that year the Up ‘til Dawn Program here raised more than any school in our region, including those institutions that have been hosting this program for several years such as Capital University, Marietta College , Miami University (Ohio), Michigan State University, Ohio Northern University, Ohio University, and Slippery Rock University. During the 2010-2011 Up ‘til Dawn year, Mount Union was again a huge success, raising the second highest amount of money in our region and placing in the top ten fundraising schools nationwide.

At Mount Union, a dedicated group of students work to make this student-run philanthropic program a success by inspiring their fellow students to get involved. In the fall of 2012, more than 350 students came together to send letters to their family and friends to help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During the Spring of 2012, students will once again come together to celebrate the mission of St. Jude as well as the work they have done for the cause by revealing the total money raised by Mount Union at the Finale event. In addition to these two anchor events, the Up ‘til Dawn Executive Board works hard throughout the year to program side events and share the message of St. Jude on campus.
