Metropolitan Opera Tenor Eduardo Valdes to Host Voice Master Class

ALLIANCE, Ohio – University of Mount Union alumnus and Metropolitan Opera tenor Eduardo Valdes ’83 will be holding a voice master class on Wednesday, May 4 on the Mount Union campus.
The Master Class will be presented to selected high school students from 5-7 p.m. and selected Mount Union students from 7:30-9 p.m. Following the two master classes, the public is invited to attend a question and answer session with Maestro Valdes from approximately 9-10 p.m.
Valdes has spent 22 years at the Metropolitan Opera and has completed 595 performances in 34 productions. His performances have taken him all over the world, including Europe, South America and Asia. Among other endeavors, he maintains the Valdes Voice Studio, which is his private vocal studio in New York City. Valdes is committed to teaching the next generation of singers the best bel canto technique and sharing his experiences with them.
The masterclass will be located in Presser Recital Hall in the Giese Center for Performing Arts.
