Paint the Point Purple
The University of Mount Union will celebrate National Wear Purple Day with a “Paint the Point Purple!” event on Saturday, June 8 at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH.
Cedar Point amusement park/resort, located in Sandusky, Ohio, has been voted the “Best Amusement Park in the World” for a record 15 consecutive years. With 16 roller coasters, Cedar Point amusement park/resort is home to the largest collection of coasters on the planet. New for 2013 is GateKeeper, a high-flying wing steel coaster. Overall, Cedar Point has 72 rides; four children’s areas; a gigantic waterpark (Soak City); three resort hotels; a year-round indoor waterpark resort; luxury RV campground with cottages and cabins; two marinas; an entertainment complex (Challenge Park); award-winning live entertainment; gift shops; restaurants and more.
Mount Union’s Office of Marketing staff will be on site from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the ticket gates offering fun activities and prizes. The first 250 people wearing Mount Union gear will receive a Mount Union drawstring bag and those stopping by the table will be entered to win a Purple Prize Pack.
Tickets will be available for a discounted rate of $33 at the gate the day of the event. All tickets for 48 inches and under and ages 62 and up are $24. Tickets are non-refundable and can only be used on June 8.
