Resubmissions

Students who did not pass both parts of their WOC Portfolio (written and oral) will have to resubmit in the next semester. So, if you failed your WOC Portfolio in May 2016 (last semester), you must resubmit in December 2016 (this semester). Here’s what you need to know if you have to resubmit:

If you didn’t pass either the written or oral, you’ll have to resubmit the entire WOC Portfolio, including:

  • Revised written and oral assignments,
  • A revised cover letter (that indicates you’re resubmitting, explains the assignments you’re using, what changes you made, and why you think the revised assignments better demonstrate your ability to write and speak at a second-year student level).
  • Updated forms.

If you didn’t pass one part (either written or oral), you only need to resubmit the part you failed, including:

  • Revised assignments,
  • A revised cover letter (that indicates you’re resubmitting, that you previously passed the other part and what assignments you submitted for that part, explains the assignments you’ve revised, what changes you made, and why you think the revised assignments better demonstrate your ability to write or speak at a second-year student level).
  • Updated forms.

For all resubmissions, a student must self-enroll in the D2L WOC Portfolio submission course. Regardless of when in the semester they’re submitted, resubmitted WOC Portfolios will be evaluated at end of the semester with all other WOC Portfolios for the semester.

Students who are enrolled in the WOC revision courses will resubmit their WOC Portfolio (either part or both) as part of the class.
