The community feeling of all the students, professors, staff and administrators definitely make Mount Union unique. I love the feeling of being able to talk to anyone on campus and have them recognize me. It’s very personal and makes me feel right at home.
Cantus Femina
The present version of the Cantus Femina was developed in the spring of 1996 at the express request of students interested in singing this single-gender material in an informal setting. In response to a significant increase in the number of women interested in singing at Mount Union, the Cantus Femina became a formal offering of the Department of Music in the Fall 1996 semester. The ensemble studies choral literature written exclusively for women and spends a significant amount of time developing the fundamental singing skills and musicianship of each member.
