Writer and Speaker Dr. Os Guinness to Present William McKinley Visiting Scholar Program at Mount Union College

Dr. Os Guinness will present, 'Time for Truth'Living Free in a World of Lies, Hype, and Spin,' as part of the William McKinley Visiting Scholar Program at Mount Union College on Thursday, February 10, at 10:30 a.m. in Mount Union's Dewald Chapel.
Guinness is the author of 'No God But God: Breaking With the Idols of Our Age' and 'The American Hour.' He has written various critiques of religion and American culture including, 'The Dust Of Death' and 'The Gravedigger.' 'The Gravedigger' examines social and cultural forces shaping religion in the late twentieth century. Educated in England, Guinness did his undergraduate studies at the University of London and post graduate studies at University of Oxford where he earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in the social sciences.
He has lived in Falls Church, Virginia since 1984, where he has been a guest scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Studies and a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institute. Guinness is currently the senior fellow of the Trinity Forum, a seminar-style forum for senior executives and political leaders that engages the leading ideas of our day in the context of faith.
The William McKinley Visiting Scholar Program is free and open to the public and was made possible through an initial grant made jointly to the institutions of Malone College, Mount Union College and Walsh University by the First Educational and Charitable Trust, which was organized in 1967 with a grant from the Timken Foundation of Canton. Guinness will be speaking at Walsh University on Tuesday, February 8 at 9:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Science Auditorium and at Malone College on Wednesday, February 9, at 10:05 a.m. at the Fist Christian Church and 7:30 p.m. in the Silk Auditorium, Mitchell Hall.
