Wilson, Young Named Mount Union’s Outstanding Senior Woman and Man

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union named Emma Wilson ’18 and Keenan Young ’18 its 2018 Outstanding Senior Woman and Man at its annual Honors Convocation on Tuesday.
Wilson, a national security and foreign intelligence analysis and Spanish double major of Salem, Ohio, was also named to the Dean’s List all seven semesters and was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Mu Gamma, Campus Crusade for Christ, College Republicans, HOLA, the Honors Program, Order of Omega, Pi Sigma Alpha, Pre-Law Society, the Student Alumni Association, Study Abroad Club from trips to Hong Kong and Nicaragua, the Committee on Assessment and the Committee on Student Organizations.
She held leadership positions in Alpha Chi Omega, Gender Equity Matters, Sigma Iota Rho, Student Senate and Greek Member Academy.
Other female nominees included Amanda Belz ’18, an early childhood education major of North Royalton, Ohio, Shelby Gerwin ’18, a management major of Port Clinton, Ohio and Karlie Sustersic ’18, a public relations major of Amherst, Ohio.
Young, a psychology major from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was a seven-time member of the Dean’s List, as well as a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, GSA Pride, the Honors Program, Knitting Club, Preview and Raider Guides, and Study Abroad after participating in the spring break trip to Nicaragua. He held leadership positions in Alpha Phi Omega, Phi Kappa Tau, Sociology Club, and was named the 2017 Homecoming King.
Other male nominees for the award included Brandon Lucas ’18, a public relations major of Parma, Ohio, W. Cody Rohaley ‘18, a management and marketing double major of Youngstown, Ohio and Jesse Wynn ‘18, a biology major from Strongsville, Ohio.
