Center for Faculty Development

Mission

The Center for Faculty Development (CFD) is a hub for professional development resources for teaching faculty. The CFD promotes best practices for teaching by providing mentoring, programming, and a critical access point to appropriate internal and external resources. The CFD acknowledges the complex role of faculty members working in the context of a growing liberal arts institution and connects faculty members to resources that help them continuously evolve as instructors, leaders, and scholars of teaching and learning.

Location

The CFD is located on the second floor of KHIC and offers a flexible meeting space and technology lab equipped with a large format printer, 3D printer, and design software, including access to the Adobe Creative Suite.

Services

The CFD website exists within D2L and can only be accessed by current UMU instructors. If you are a member of the UMU community and wish to gain access to the site, please contact us.

We're also available to schedule a teaching, instructional design, or education technology consultation.
