Working at Mount Union
I will never forget that cold day in April of 2011 when I first stepped foot on Mount Union’s campus as a prospective student. The feeling I got while touring the gorgeous campus and meeting with some of the most inviting campus members was indescribable. From that moment on, I knew Mount Union was a special place and were I belonged. I couldn’t imagine calling any other place but Mount Union my home-away-from-home both as a current student and now as a staff member.
Favorite Mount Union Fact
According to the UMU Dyanmo, Chapman Hall had a museum attached to it in 1868 and inside it held items such as an Egyptian mummy and stuffed gorilla. Legend has it, students use to steal these items and bury them around campus. What a time to be alive!
Favorite Thing About Mount Union
My favorite thing about Mount Union is that it is not a one-size-fits-all for students and community members. Mount Union offers a little bit of something for everyone and provides a safe place to explore passions, interests, and goals.
Fun Fact About Me
I was 100% committed to a different university from my sophomore year of high school until April of my senior year. I found Mount Union, visited a few days later, and completely changed my college decision in less than a week.
Advice for Students During Their College Search
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! I was a first-generation student, my parents didn’t go to college, and I had no idea what to expect or what resources were available to me as a student. Admission counselors are here for you and we genuinely enjoy helping you through this process so don’t be afraid to reach out and let us know how we can be there for you.
