Earth Science

The University of Mount Union's minor in earth science prepares students to make an impact on our world and its inhabitants. Students will learn about the location and development of energy and mineral resources as well as the impact of human activity on the environment. 

The minor in earth science is administered by the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences which additionally offers a major in geology and environmental science. 

Earth Science at Mount Union Quick Facts 

  • Students minoring in earth science will have the opportunity to participate in an internship for local oil, coal, and other environmental consulting companies or summer field camps.
  • Earth science minors have access to Mount Union's Nature Center. 
  • Minors in earth science will gain hands-on experience through research, wilderness excursions, and other opportunities. 
  • Environmental Science Club is a student-led organization on campus that seeks to promote personal development and intellectual growth in each student pursuing a major or minor in any of the natural science disciplines.
