The University of Mount Union Department of Theatre will present the musical “Anything Goes” February 28 and March 1-2 at 7:30 p.m. and March 3 at 2 p.m. The production will take place in the Brush Performance Hall of the Giese Center for the Performing Arts.

“Anything Goes” was created in 1934 with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The play tells the story of an ocean liner, the S.S. American, traveling from New York to London. On board is a cast of passengers, whose romantic lives intertwine with comedic effect. It debuted in 1934 at the Alvin Theatre on Broadway. Later the play was revised for the big screen in 1936 and 1956.

The play will be directed by Mount Union Department of Theatre Lecturer Craig Joseph. The cast includes: George Carr ‘19, Jeff Centrello ‘20, Lexi Cintron ‘22, Naimah Coleman ‘21, Grace Collins ‘19 , Abigail Collinsworth ‘22, Kayla Cordle ‘22, Reilly Davidson ‘20, Elizabeth Domer ‘20, Maddie Frye ‘19, Devon Hall ‘19, Kyle Hart ‘21, community member Meg Hopp, Kollin Klingler ‘22, Matthew Malcomson ‘21, Cassie Mead ‘2, Olivia Morey ‘21, Maddie Priestap ‘21, community member Ross Rhodes, Robert Rush ‘22, Devin Sanders ‘21, Kaitlyn Slezak ‘2, Siv Street ‘22, Juliana Sutliff ‘21, Rachael Thorn ‘21, Eva Wagner ‘21, Hannah Wasylko ‘22, Jacob Williams ‘21 and Peyton Zamarelli ’22. The stage manager is Chris Tucker ‘19 and the assistants are Britt Kolek ‘21 and Adrienne Bock ‘20.

Tickets for the show are $12 for general admission and $10 for seniors/veterans.  Tickets are available online at, by phone at 330-821-2565 or in person in the Giese Center for the Performing Arts. The box office is open Monday-Friday, 2-4:30 p.m. when classes are in session.
