Education

B.A., Sport Business

Hometown

Amherst, Ohio

Choosing a Good Program

I chose to attend Mount Union due to the home feel of campus, the kindness of staff and faculty and the sport business program being ranked Top 10 in the country and #1 in Ohio. I also received the Founder's Scholarship, the Amherst Youth Soccer Association Scholarship and the Small Business Development Center of Canton's Entrepreneurship scholarship.

Why Mount Union is Home

Real-World Experiences

The Milwaukee Way Sales Academy via Zoom in 2020 (I accepted an internship in the Junior Sales Associate Program with the Milwaukee Bucks for summer 2020 and was supposed to move to Milwaukee. This was an alternative.)

Major League Baseball All-Star Week Volunteer Coordinator Intern for the Cleveland Indians and Major League Baseball in summer of 2019.

Mid- American Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments Social Media Content Creator in 2019.

Cleveland Browns Social Media Content Producer and Guest Services from 2018-current.

Charlotte Motor Speedway Can-Am World Finals in 2019.

Cleveland Cavaliers Mount Union Sales Project in 2019.

Mount Union Sport Sales Workshop in 2018 and 2019.

Cleveland Cavaliers Diversity and Inclusion Sports Career Combine.

My favorite experience has been interning with Major League Baseball and the Cleveland Indians as an MLB All-Star Week Volunteer Coordinator Intern. I was very hands on with putting together the Volunteer Program of 2,200 volunteers for All-Star Week in Cleveland. I worked with many different people with Major League Baseball and the Cleveland Indians to put together the most successful Volunteer Program. I worked long hours during All-Star Week and executing everything we worked on for the past couple of months.

Prepared for the Future

My career goal is to be the Vice President or President of Ticket Sales of a professional sport organization. Mount Union is preparing me for my goal after graduation by my sport business faculty members constantly being in my corner and sharing opportunities to gain experience in the field. I feel as if the Integrative Core has significantly impacted my writing and speaking skills in a positive manner. Writing and speaking are essential as a professional. I have been complimented on my writing and speaking abilities by other professionals in the sport industry.

The Right Fit

The biggest advice I would give to high school students when looking at colleges and universities is to talk to faculty members in the department you are interested in, take engaging tours of the campus and make sure that the campus feels like home. Four years of your life will be spent at the college or university that you choose. Make sure that it is a right fit for your lifestyle.
