Why Mount Union?

I got to know about Mount Union through [international scholarship website] interscholars.org and chose to come here for a number of reasons: The International Admissions team was really great and helpful, I got a substantial scholarship amount, and the school’s grade ratings are good. The scholarships helped my decision a great deal because I honestly would not have been able to come if I hadn’t gotten a scholarship.

Favorite part about Mount Union

Everybody is really courteous and willing to help if you ask for help. The Mount Union system is set up in a way that just gets everybody rooting for you to succeed and be prepared for life after graduating. My TRF class helped me adjust to college life the most, nothing prepares an international student for campus as well as this class does!

Major Successes

I chose theatre and communication studies as my majors because communication is an essential skill for whatever path or career you may choose to follow in life and theatre is a lifelong passion; I’ve always wanted to join the field of acting. The spring lobby weekend was awesome because I thought that I had no right to talk about issues affecting the American society as an International student (especially not to high profile senators), this as I experienced is actually not true because we got to meet politicians and engage them on the Detention of Immigrants and it was very refreshing.

Career Goals

My goal is to end up in Hollywood. Mount Union puts on very good shows each semester and I have the chance to participate in all of them if I choose to. I also have mandatory classes that shape me into an all-around artist and this improves my odds a whole lot once I am out into the real world.
