Shakespeare at the Castle Returns with “Much Ado About Nothing” July 27-30

Shakespeare at the castleALLIANCE, Ohio – For the fourth consecutive year, Alliance’s community theatre festival Shakespeare at the Castle (SATC) will take place Thursday, July 27 – Sunday, July 30 on the grounds of the historic Glamorgan Castle.

This summer will feature an iteration of Shakespeare’s classic, “Much Ado About Nothing.” The comic romance of opposites attracting is considered by many as one of Shakespeare’s funniest plays.

Kevin Kern, artistic director for SATC and associate professor and chair of the Department of Theatre at the University of Mount Union, said of the annual event, “Sitting side by side, our residents, along with visitors from beyond our town, will hear the great stories of love, hope, glory, betrayal, revenge and redemption told in relevant and dynamic ways.” 

Curtain for each production is at 7 p.m. and the Glamorgan Castle grounds open for picnicking at 5 p.m.
