MBA Concentrations

  • Artificial Intelligence

    Mount Union’s MBA in artificial intelligence equips leaders to manage AI projects and drive digital transformation strategically, focusing on ethical considerations and practical applications without requiring coding expertise. The one-year, fully online program includes asynchronous, low-code courses such as Generative AI for Managers and AI Governance, designed to develop technical literacy and strategic fluency.

  • Business Analytics

    The MBA in business analytics enhances your ability to interpret and leverage data for strategic decision-making, optimizing business operations and performance. Designed for busy professionals, it balances rigorous analytics training with flexible, seven‑week courses tailored to leadership roles in today’s data-driven organizations.

  • Cybersecurity

    This concentration empowers professionals to lead organizational cybersecurity initiatives, covering topics such as risk management, data protection, ethical hacking, and compliance without requiring advanced technical backgrounds. With a focus on strategic resilience, it prepares graduates for roles like CISO and cybersecurity director.

  • Finance

    The MBA in finance strengthens strategic financial expertise through analysis, modeling, and leadership in global markets. It covers managerial finance, capital markets, valuation, and emerging technologies, such as blockchain, preparing students to excel in investment banking, corporate finance, or fintech roles.

  • Leadership and Innovation

    Mount Union’s MBA in leadership and innovation develops critical skills in strategic leadership, organizational change, and business model innovation through courses such as Idea Development and Organizational Transformation. Ideal for aspiring executives, it equips professionals to navigate complex leadership challenges and create value through innovation.

  • Strategic Healthcare Administration

    This concentration prepares leaders in healthcare settings by integrating business strategy with health policy, organizational management, and technology innovation. It’s tailored to advance careers in hospital administration, healthcare consulting, and policy development.

Online MBA in Business Analytics Admission Requirements

  1. All Applicants:
    • Degree/Credentials: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
    • Undergraduate Achievement: Possess an undergraduate cumulative grade point average equal to or greater than 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
    • Experience: Provide a curriculum vitae or résumé.
    • Essay and Writing Ability: Applicants will submit an essay of a maximum of 500 words outlining the following: 1) career aspirations, 2) qualifications, and 3) rationale for applying to the program. This piece should demonstrate the candidate’s ability to write at a graduate level.
    • Professional Recommendation: Provide one recommendation from an employer or a former professor who is in a position to judge the applicant’s potential for graduate-level study and research.
    • Consideration for Conditional Admission: Applicants who do not meet the above criteria will be judged on a case-by-case basis and will be asked to submit additional documentation in an attempt to gain conditional admission.
  2. Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Equivalent:
    • Students with a bachelor's degree in business (or those who have completed an equivalent of the business common professional core (CPC) at the undergraduate level) with a 3.0 GPA or higher will not be required to take Business Foundations 1 and 2.
  3. Applicants with Non-Business Bachelor’s Degree:
    • Students with a non-business bachelor's degree or those who have not completed an equivalent of the business common professional core (CPC) at the undergraduate level, earning a 3.0 GPA or higher, will be required to take Business Foundations 1 and 2. The undergraduate CPC may also be satisfied by completing appropriate undergraduate courses

 

OTHER ADMISSION/ENROLLMENT RELATED INFORMATION

Transfer Credit Policy: A maximum of nine (9) semester hours of graduate transfer credits will be considered for transfer credit. The course(s) must have been taken at an accredited institution and be aligned with the objectives for the University of Mount Union course(s), and only coursework earning a grade of B or better will be considered for transfer credit. Additional credits may be transferred on a case-by-case basis.

A candidate wishing to transfer credits must submit an official transcript, along with a copy of the appropriate course description from the graduate catalog of the respective institution, and may be asked to offer additional documentation (such as a course syllabus). TOEFL Requirement: Applicants whose primary language is not English must have a recent IBT (Internet- Based TOEFL) score of 100 or more in addition to meeting other program requirements.
 

Enrollment Deposit: If admitted to the program, candidates are required to submit a non-refundable deposit of $250. This deposit will be applied toward tuition charges.
