ArtFest: Annual Artist Showcase
ArtFest, sponsored by the University of Mount Union and the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce, annually features original works by area artists showcasing various media including watercolor, oil, ceramics, fine crafts, photography, jewelry and printmaking, among others. The event features artwork that is both on display and for sale.
In 2015, ArtFest will return again to its historic location around the Campus Lakes of Mount Union. The event will be held on Saturday, September 19 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in conjunction with Family Day and the Mount Union vs. Muskingum football game.
Last year’s event, which hosted more than 50 vendors and 3,000 visitors, proved to be one of the most successful of the past 50 years.
In addition to art displays and sales, ArtFest will include:
Taste of Alliance
Alliance area restaurants and caterers will also be at ArtFest selling food and beverages for visitors and community members to enjoy as they browse.
The event will provide local musical entertainment from Alliance and Mount Union.
At ArtFest, there will be live demonstrations of artists at work.
Children’s Art Activity
The Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce will host a children’s coloring contest
