Accounting major

I want to be a forensic accountant, and Mount Union is preparing me for that career with its endless learning opportunities

Education

B.S. Accounting

Hometown

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Why Mount Union?

I heard about Mount Union when I went to Buckeye Girls State. I chose to attend because it is small to the point where I can get individualized attention from professors when I need their help. I came to Mount Union wanting to be a management major, however, I learned about forensic accountants by helping in the court system, so I switched to an accounting major. I know that with the guidance from professors and learning opportunities, I will be prepared to enter the career field upon graduating.

A Second Home

I’ve always said that the people make the experience. Students and staff here have just been so nice and I’ve made lots of new friends. Faculty and staff like Beau Gannon, Dr. Pogacnik, and Kelleen Weber have helped me pursue my career goals by giving me the resources necessary to succeed academically and professionally.

Experiential Learning

My favorite class was psychology with Dr. Knepp. He made learning fun and used a lot of interactive work based on what we were learning to understand the material better. We had to make a presentation for class and the presentation I made for psych I actually also presented at MEHA and it was super fun to go to Indianapolis and explore while also giving my presentation.
