Why Biomedical Engineering?

I chose biomedical engineering because I wanted to apply engineering concepts and processes to develop health care solutions. I'm so glad that now I train others to do this exact thing!

Teaching at Mount Union

I love seeing the creativity of our students. I'm always impressed with how they come up with clever solutions to problems. Getting to know them and see them grow and achieve their goals is the my favorite part of being a professor at Mount Union. The University is unique in that we know our students and are invested in their success. Our classes are small and we really get to know them and help them grow from first semester to their senior capstone. The amount of hands on experience makes the biomedical engineering program at Mount Union unique. Almost all of our classes have a laboratory associated with them and all the students have a chance to do things like make biomaterials and try tissue engineering experiments.
