Why Mount Union
I heard about Mount Union through family friends and from my high school. I chose Mount Union because I liked the idea of a small campus and I felt extremely welcomed on my first visit. The student tour guides and counselors I met with were all very eager to talk to me about Mount and answered all of my questions. Their excitement rubbed off on me and I quickly became very excited about Mount Union too.
More than Just a Number
I really like the small class sizes because they give me an opportunity to really get to know my professors and the other students in the class on a more personal level. I feel like my presence and participation is appreciated and encouraged.
Second Home
The close and friendly community at Mount Union really makes it feel like a second home. Everywhere I go on campus, I feel welcomed and accepted.
Why Accounting
I chose accounting as my major because I’ve always liked math and working with numbers. Along with my major, the classes I’ve taken for my business administration minor have helped me develop a new interest in finance and marketing that will help me in the business world.
Integrative Core
The Integrative Core will make me a better professional because I’ve had the opportunity to practice and improve my public speaking in many different situations and topics.
Future Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
My ultimate goal after graduation is to become a CPA. Mount Union is helping prepare me for this by working through real life examples in my accounting classes and providing the opportunity to take classes in different fields of accounting to find my strongest interest.
