Mount Union Moves Up 22 Spots in Washington Monthly Rankings

ALLIANCE, Ohio – For the eighth year in a row, the University of Mount Union was ranked among the best baccalaureate colleges and universities in Washington Monthly’s 2018 rankings.

Moving up an impressive 22 spots from last year’s ranking of 93rd, Mount Union is now ranked 71st in this category.

According to Washington Monthly’s website, colleges and universities are ranked among each other based on three categories: social mobility (recruiting and graduating lower-income students), research (producing innovative academics) and service (motivating and inspiring students to give back to the world).

Along with the rankings from Washington Monthly, the University of Mount Union is a part of numerous additional rankings. The University has been included in Forbes’ 2019 America’s Best Colleges Ranking and The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings. Mount is also a part of Princeton Review’s Guide to 361 Green Colleges for six consecutive years and has been named a top college in the Midwest for 28 consecutive years by the U.S. News and World Report.
