Mount Union Physical Therapy Program Hosting Free Community Events April 16, 19

ALLIANCE — The Doctor of Physical Therapy (PT) program at the University of Mount Union will host two events open to members of the Alliance and surrounding communities on Tuesday, April 16 and Friday, April 19.

The April 16 event will be a free Neuro Consult Day from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. located at 1725 S. Arch Ave. in Alliance. Members of the community or their loved ones who are affected by neurological or neuromuscular challenges can volunteer to receive a free consultation from PT students overseen by expert faculty. Examinations may include assessment of walking, balance, muscle strength, and/or general mobility.

On Friday, April 19, the PT program will offer free community balance screenings for older adults in the community at The Alliance Commons located at 405 S. Linden Ave. in Alliance. Each screening will take approximately 30 minutes and will be conducted by PT students with faculty oversight.
