Application Requirements
A transfer student to the University of Mount Union is defined as student who has been registered for one or more courses at another university, with the exception of a student who was enrolled under the College Credit Plus Program. Students applying for admission as a transfer student to the University of Mount Union will need to:
Official college transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended
Student Standing Evaluation Form, to be completed by the student’s most recent institution to confirm good standing and eligibility for immediate re-enrollment.
Transferring Credits to Mount Union
The Mount Union curriculum is transfer friendly and helps you get the most out of your previously-earned credits. For courses to transfer, they must have been earned at a regionally accredited institution, reflect a grade of "C" or higher, and be in an equivalent program offered by Mount. Official transcripts will be the basis for determining what, if any, transfer credit will be accepted by the University of Mount Union; such determination will be made by the Office of the University Registrar at the time of admission on a course-by-course basis.
To find out more about transferring your credits, you can submit your unofficial college transcripts tocredit_transfer@mountunion.eduand get a credit evaluation.

High school transcripts not only assist the admission review committee in seeing a full picture of your academic preparedness for Mount Union’s curriculum, but they also allow us to verify that you received a diploma.
The Dean’s Evaluation shows us whether you are in good standing or not at your current or previous institution(s), which is a requirement for admission to Mount Union. Additionally, conduct issues are considered in admission decisions.
Mount Union adheres to federal policy that an applicant’s educational record is his/her property and as institution does not have the right to release information within the record.
Once an application for admission is completed, it moves through a review process. It may be determined that additional documentation or information is required to support your application for admission. The volume of applications being processed by the office of admission during any given time can also impact the time it takes for your application to be reviewed and an admission decision reached. Rest assured, the review committee will work as quickly as possible and keep you informed along the way as they reach an appropriate admission decision.
