Financial Literacy

The University of Mount Union offers financial literacy resources to educate students about managing their finances while in school and beyond. With these services, it is our hope to allow you to become well-rounded, knowledgeable, resourceful individuals.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau defines financial well-being as “a state of being wherein a person can fully meet current and ongoing financial obligations, can feel secure in their financial future, and is able to make choices that allow enjoyment of life.”

Mount Union partners with CashCourse, a free, online program that aims to improve the financial situation of anyone who wishes to use it. CashCourse provides multiple resources that are meant to educate and inspire users to make necessary changes in their monetary decisions in order to become more financially responsible. The material offered can help students learn about an array of topics from wise spending, to handling debit and credit cards, to paying for college when they graduate. Students who wish to utilize CashCourse can register for a free account under the “Students” option.
