Choosing Mount Union

From the start, I was interested in teaching at Mount Union because of the smaller classes. I knew I would be able to get to know the students, and this was very appealing to me. I did not want to teach at a large university where I would not be able to have students in multiple classes.

Rewarding Career

I chose to be a college professor because when I was in college, I admired my own professors. I thought it would be a stimulating and rewarding way to spend a career. I enjoy meeting with students to discuss their projects and to discover how their personal interests coincide with their academic interests.

Outside Interests

I have published a book of short stories entitled "Messiah Complex and Other Stories," and a novel entitled "The Homegoing;" my favorite travel destination is The Isle of Mann in the Irish Sea and the best concert I've ever attended was The Indigo Girls.
