From design, development, and testing to supervision of the manufacturing of electrical equipment, electrical engineers are at the forefront of all electronic systems. Students can pursue emphases in the following areas:

  • Electronics and Communications Engineering
  • Control Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Power and Energy Engineering

The University of Mount Union’s Electrical Engineering Degree is designed to offer students the crucial and influential knowledge to impact this in-demand field. The engineering faculty at Mount Union is an outstanding group with expertise in the many fields that make up electrical engineering such as:

  • Power
  • Control
  • Electronics
  • Microelectronics
  • Signal Processing
  • Telecommunications
  • Instrumentation
  • Computers
  • Mechatronics

The Department of Engineering’s four pillars of exceptional engineering education combined with a yearlong senior design capstone project that is driven by real-world applications from the industry is a distinguishing factor that develops leaders in the field.

We will enroll our first class in Fall 2018. The electrical engineering major is being added along with two other engineering programs in computer engineering and biomedical engineering. They will be housed in the Department of Engineering along with the two successful ABET accredited programs in mechanical engineering and civil engineering.
