When I was in high school, I knew I wanted to attend a college that had strong academics, recreational opportunities and lots of different ways to get involved. I also wanted to attend a university that was committed to the environment and the community, and I felt like all of these things were important at Mount Union.
Human Development and Family Science Major
Relationships, family, community, society and culture all play important roles in an individual’s human development. Our interdisciplinary program will allow you to dig deeper within these issues and critically examine the dynamic transaction of human life and the environment, all the while receiving a comprehensive and well-rounded educational experience.
Our human development and family science curriculum, which emphasizes a strong focus on theory, research and application, will prepare you for meaningful work in a variety of human-related fields as well as graduate school.
The major in human development and family science is administered by the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, which also offers a program in sociology and criminal justice, and the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, which also offers programs in neuroscience and psychology.
