Choosing Mount Union

Mount Union felt like home the first time I stepped foot on its campus during my visit with the Cross Country and Track teams. Academic wise, I loved the fact that the nursing program had small class sizes and was a direct-entry BSN program. Being a part of the cross country and track teams prepared me for my career as a bedside nurse and now, nurse practitioner as I learned to always work hard, to be consistent, and to always be present. In addition, the clinical rotations and education I received through the nursing program successfully prepared me from the transition of being a student to bedside nurse.

Unforgettable Experience

Mount Union provided me with exceptional academic opportunities through the nursing program along with athletic achievements as a cross-country and track team member. However, Mount Union will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s where I met my best friends and husband. Overall, it is the best institution to obtain one's undergraduate degree at while also making memories with friends outside the classroom.

Career Achievements

I am currently a lung transplant nurse practitioner at Cleveland Clinic- Main Campus. I love that in my current job I am able to connect with my patients and provide the best possible care I can to them. I enjoy educating my patients and providing resources when able to have a successful transition home after having a lung transplant. Though, I am currently going to school to obtain my DNP degree. With this degree. I would love to become a nursing professor upon graduating from the program.
