Mount Union Names Dr. Keith Miller ‘08 Dean of Undergraduate Studies

ALLIANCE — After a nationwide search, the University of Mount Union is pleased to announce that Dr. Keith Miller ’08 has been named its dean of undergraduate studies.
Miller, a professor of biochemistry and chemistry at Mount Union, was named the University’s interim dean of undergraduate studies in December 2025 and will now fill the role full-time.
A native of Atwater, Ohio, Miller earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Mount Union and a doctoral degree in biochemistry and biophysics from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He joined the Mount Union faculty in 2013 and has served in several academic and administrative leadership roles during his tenure.
“Keith’s rare combination of academic vision and financial acumen ensures a strong commitment to our undergraduate studies, as we continue to advance an excellent curriculum that is both current and sustainable,” said Dr. Bill Cunion, vice president for academic affairs at Mount Union.
“As a Purple Raider alumnus, the University of Mount Union shaped my approach to learning, service, and leadership. It is a profound honor to now serve as Dean of Undergraduate Studies for a community that ensures every student finds their unique place within the Raider family for generations to come,” said Miller.
