July 01, 2025ALLIANCE, Ohio — The University of Mount Union is pleased to announce that Jim Costanzo ’84 has been named the next chair of its Board of Trustees, effective July 1, 2025.
Costanzo’s distinguished career spans more than four decades in the healthcare and technology sectors, earning him national recognition for his leadership and impact. He retired as CEO of Nordic Consulting Partners in 2024 following his tenure as Global Health Leader for Ernst & Young for nearly a decade. He is currently a senior business advisor at Silversmith Capital Partners, Executive Chairman of Med Tech Solutions and serves on the boards of Fortified Health Security and Innovative Consulting Group.
Costanzo joined the Board of Trustees in 2016, though his commitment to Mount Union extends far beyond governance. He has built strong connections with faculty and staff and served on the campaign cabinet for the University’s $50 million “Inspiring Minds, Transforming Lives” campaign.
“Working alongside Jim on the Board for nearly a decade has been both a privilege and a pleasure and I’m excited to see the University thrive under his leadership as Chair,” said University President Greg King. “The Costanzo family exemplifies the very best of the Mount Union community – their generosity, care, and unwavering dedication consistently go above and beyond.”
Costanzo and his wife, Denise, are among Mount Union’s most generous supporters of The Mount Union Fund, making significant unrestricted gifts that help meet the University’s most pressing needs. Their impact extends further through the naming of the Raider Active Design Lab in Oak Hall, the establishment of the Stacey Costanzo Theatre Scholarship for Design and Technology and their recent support of the Go-To Raider program, which helps first-year students transition to college through personalized support and experiential learning.
The Costanzos reside in Michigan, where they raised their three children—Stacey ’19, Anthony and Emily ’23.
