Mount Union Nursing Program Earns $25,000 Grant from Mary Renkert Wendling Foundation

The University of Mount Union’s Department of Nursing was awarded a $25,000 grant from the Mary Renkert Wendling Foundation to support the growth of its simulation laboratories.

 

Cancer Research from Mount Union Senior Selected for Spotlight Presentation at National Conference

Research done by Sarah Turley ’21, a biochemistry major of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, was chosen for a spotlight presentation at the Experimental Biology (EB) conference in April.

 

Mount Union Once Again Named to National Transfer Student Honor Roll

The University of Mount Union is proud to announce that it has once again been named to the 2021 Transfer Honor Roll by the Phi Thetha Kappa (PTK) Honor Society for its dynamic pathways to support transfer students.

 

Mount Union Designated as a National Voter Friendly Campus

The University of Mount Union has been named as one of more than 200 campuses in 37 states and the District of Columbia designated as a “Voter Friendly Campus.” The initiative, led by national nonpartisan organizations Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project (CVP) and NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, held participating institutions accountable for planning and implementing practices that encourage their students to register and vote in 2020 elections and in the coming years.

  

Mount Union’s First Accelerated BSN Cohort Achieves 100% First-Time NCLEX Pass Rate

Building on a tradition of successful nursing students, the University of Mount Union’s first cohort of students in its Second-Degree Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program achieved a 100% first-time passage rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).

 

Mount Union PA Program Assists with Community COVID Vaccinations and Campus Testing Efforts

Working with the Alliance City Health Department, the University of Mount Union’s Physician Assistant (PA) Studies Program has assisted in administering COVID-19 vaccines to members of the Alliance community at the Alliance Senior Center.

 

Mount Union Named a Top College in Ohio for Alumni Earnings Among Recent Graduates

The University of Mount Union was recently announced as one of the 2021 Best Colleges in Ohio for bachelor’s degree Salary Score by Optimal’s GradReports. The institution was ranked eighth in the state and third in the Northeast Ohio region. 

 

Mount Union Awarded $275,000 STEM Grant from Ohio Department of Higher Education

The University of Mount Union is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $275,625 Choose Ohio First (COF) grant to support students in the critical fields of science (including health professions), technology, engineering, mathematics, and manufacturing (STEM+M).

Mount Union Breaks Ground on Expansion for Business, Engineering Facilities

The University of Mount Union held a groundbreaking on Monday, May 10 to signify the beginning of an approximately 6,200-square-foot expansion to Oak Hall, which houses programs in the University’s Department of Business and School of Engineering.

Mount Union Ascends to its Highest National Ranking in Washington Monthly History

For the 11th consecutive year, the University of Mount Union was ranked among the best baccalaureate colleges and universities in Washington Monthly’s 2021 rankings. The University was ranked 29th out of 244 institutions across the country, which is the highest position Mount Union has achieved, up an incredible 64 spots since 2017. That ranking placed Mount Union fourth among Ohio institutions.
