Being a PA and Professor

I love my career as a physician assistant and have always had a love for learning and a love for teaching. Being a professor in the PA program allows me to constantly learn in the field of medicine and also teach and inspire the future generation of physician assistants. As a practicing PA, I had the honor to educate Mount Union PA students during their clinical rotations. I was always very impressed with their knowledge and love for medicine. I enjoyed being an educator and knew that it would be a privilege to teach at the program full time. My favorite part of being a professor in the Physician Assistant Studies Program is the time that I get to spend with my students one on one. I have really enjoyed being an advisor and mentor to my students.

Mount Union's PA Program

The PA program faculty supports their students not only academically but also emotionally. The students feel an open door policy and are able to reach out to one of their professors for support at any time they need it. The PA class cohorts have a unique bond and really support each other as they go through the rigorous training to becoming a physician assistant. It is amazing to see their friendships form in the classroom and then carry out into the real world after they graduate.
