University of Mount Union Students in the MAAC

Health and Wellness

The University of Mount Union offers a wide array of wellness-oriented services and outreach initiatives that can provide much-needed assistance to students as they learn to navigate the college landscape and map out their plans for the future. These services provide support for all areas of wellness and seek to help students maintain a healthy lifestyle while balancing the various obligations and changes that come with college life.

For areas of physical health, Mount Union's health center  is contracted with Alliance Community Hospital. The health center promotes good health practices and offers short-term clinical care for students. The Office of Drug, Alcohol and Wellness Education also puts on various on-campus events and sponsors several student organizations dedicated to making safe and healthy decisions on campus including Gamma, C.H.O.I.C.E.S., and Young People Matter. Students can also stay active on campus by joining an intramural sports team and attending our regular RaiderRobics classes that include yoga and Zumba classes.

The University is also dedicated to helping students maintain their mental health as well. Each semester, the Office of Academic Support offers assistance and various events for students to help them stay on top of their academics and minimize their stress. The University’s counseling services, located in the Hoover-Price Campus Center, offers short-term counseling to students in-house or they can be linked with a counselor in the Alliance are for something more long-term.
