Why Mount Union's PA Program?
After my interview at Mount Union, I left feeling excited that this could be my home for the next two years and provide me with the education I had been working towards. The clinical connections that Mount Union has are with exceptional and world-renowned hospital systems, and immediately caught my attention. Coincidentally, my younger sister decided to go to undergrad in Cleveland, around the same time I got my acceptance from Mount, so choosing Mount Union's PA program became a no-brainer.
Experiential Learning Opportunities
After having completed two clinical rotations, I have recieved feedback from multiple preceptors and other members of the healthcare team, stating that Mount Union's PA students are so well-prepared for rotations in content, skills and professionalism. That last aspect, professionalism, is what preceptors say sets this program apart from other program's students. Professionalism is something I will be able to take with me into my practice as PA and am thankful this programs prepares us so well to function as a provider. If clinical rotations have taught me anything, it's this: I can navigate uncomfortable situations and come out stronger. Being a PA student during rotations is not for the faint of heart, you're constantly pushed beyond your comfort zone. But each time I face these challenges, perform the necessary skills effectively, and grow from the experience, my confidence as a future provider deepens. With every encounter, I find myself overcoming adversity more quickly and with greater resilience.
