JOB AND INTERNSHIP FAIRS

RECRUITER INFORMATION
Recruiting Policies. All employers who wish to participate in any type of recruiting activity with the University of Mount Union must read our recruiting policies and abide by these policies. The Career Development Office should be your first/primary point of contact, as all recruiting activity needs to be approved by the Career Development Office beforehand.
Employers who would like to attend our recruiting events or post jobs and internships must register on Handshake, our new career management system. All employers who register on this system will be vetted prior to approval. Once approved, they will be able to post professional level positions and internships.
Faculty and Staff
The Career Development Office welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with you to further the development of our students! Below are some of the ways we have worked with academic and student affairs departments in the past, but feel free to suggest other ways to collaborate.
CLASS VISITS
Our most requested service is to visit classes to share information about: career planning, professional etiquette, interviewing, career readiness, job search strategies, job fair preparation, internship opportunities, graduate school planning, salary and labor market information, background checks/digital reputation, etc…
INFORMATION SESSIONS AND TRAINING PROGRAMS
If your student workers or student clubs have professional development requirements, we are happy to present at one or more training sessions or club meetings. With enough lead time, we can often accommodate evening or weekend programming.
INDEPENDENT CAREER PROGRAMMING
Some faculty and staff develop career-related programming independent of the Career Development Office. While this is usually not a concern, please touch base with our office to be sure your programming does not conflict with or duplicate existing career events and that your content is current and conforms to best practices. We are happy to partner with you. You should also make yourself aware of the official policies related to recruiting or hosting employers on campus. The University may be held liable for the actions or practices of you and your guests.
