Passion for the Field

love teaching, and better understanding of social studies can help students change the world for the better. I publish in the field of economic education and financial literacy. Art, music, and simulations are three of the techniques I use to help students think more deeply about economic justice.

Teaching at Mount Union

I love the Mount Union campus, it is a beautiful place that blends historical buildings with contemporary spaces and technology. This is a family-friendly place where faculty can bring their young children for special events or to meet their classes. The small class sizes, personal attention we give students, and family-like feel make Mount Union a special place.

Caring Campus

The Department of Education is like a family. The faculty are so supportive of each other and we love our students from our first meetings with them all the way through their job offers and professional promotions. The curriculum resource center in KHIC offers our students in education tons of amazing materials for teaching K-12 students.
