ASO Concert
The Alliance Symphony Orchestra will present its Spring Concert on Sunday, April 19, at 3 p.m. in Brush Performance Hall, in the University of Mount Union’s Giese Center for the Performing Arts. Guest conductor Scott MacPherson, associate conductor and director of chorus of the Tuscarawas Philharmonic, will lead the orchestra.
From Haydn’s celebrated “London” Symphony to Copland’s luminous Variations on a Shaker Melody, this program explores the enduring power of musical tradition. Copland, Respighi, and Stravinsky each draw on earlier forms and melodies, reshaping them with distinctive imagination and voice.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors/veterans, and free for all students and children. Student and child tickets must be ordered by phone or in person. Mount Union faculty, staff, and students can order their free tickets by using their Purple Plus number. Attendees are encouraged to order their tickets prior to the day of the performance. Tickets are available online at mountunion.edu/boxoffice.
