Signals

The University of Mount Union Department of Performing Arts will present “Signals” on Thursday, February 26, through March 1 in the Gallaher Black Box Theatre of the Giese Center for the Performing Arts.

“Signals” is a new musical by Rachel Dean and Ian LeRoy ‘14, featuring additional lyrics and music by University of Mount Union students.

In a world shaped by constant connection, “Signals” explores how technology both links and isolates us. Through a series of interconnected songs, the piece follows individuals navigating relationships, identity, and purpose in an age of endless communication. The song cycle asks what signals we send, what signals we receive, and what does it mean to connect in the 21st century? The show blends contemporary musical theatre with student-driven storytelling, featuring many songs that have been devised during student songwriting and improvisation workshops at the University.

Thursday-Saturday performances of “Signals” begin at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday matinee will start at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and are available by visiting mountunion.edu/boxoffice or calling (330) 821-2565.
