The University of Mount Union Libraries include the Main Library located in the Kolenbrander Harter Information Center and the Sturgeon Music Library located in Cope Music Hall.  The physical library offers over 185,000 books, 150 paper periodical subscriptions, 250,000 government publications, thousands of recordings and video materials, a Curriculum Resource Center, 450 study seats, 30 public computers, 2 computer labs, and a 24 hour study space.  The Library web page offers access to over 250 databases, 60,000 electronic journal subscriptions, 380,000 electronic books, and more than 25,000 streaming videos.  The Library belongs to the OPAL shared catalog system and the OhioLINK resource sharing system. Interlibrary Loan services are free.

The Digital, Written, and Oral Communication (DWOC) Studio is located in the Kolenbrander-Harter Information Center, adjacent to the Library circulation area.

Federal Depository  The University of Mount Union Library is a Federal Depository.

Current Library Hours

Mount Union shares the Innovative Interfaces catalog system with 23 OPAL libraries as well as 74 OhioLINK libraries throughout Ohio. The estate of Louis H. Brush provides annual grants to purchase books and periodicals in memory of James Alpheus Brush, the first Librarian of the University, and his wife. In 1971, the Thomas S. Brush Foundation, Inc. made a gift of approximately $500,000 to the University Endowment Fund to be used for purchase of books and periodicals in memory of Mr. Brush’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Brush.
