Choosing Mount Union
I first heard about Mount Union from a teacher at my high school who had attended and raved about how much she liked it. When I looked at Mount Union further I found that it had a lot of the things that I was looking for in a college. I wanted a smaller school but not too small, a school that was closer to home, and Mount Union had a major that I really wanted to explore. I ultimately chose to attend Mount Union because of the national security and intelligence analysis major and the ability for me to compete on the men’s golf team.
Future Career
My ultimate career goal is to work for the government and Mount Union is preparing me for that with teaching me the skills necessary to succeed in the field that I desire. I want to work for the government as a government contractor and this major gives me a great opportunity to be hired straight out of college.
Advice to Prospective Students
I would say to make sure you do your research and visit the schools that you are looking at. Make sure that they have a major that you can see yourself choosing and enjoying. Another piece of advice I would give is don’t choose a school because all your friends are going there, choose a school that fits you the best and will give you the best chance to succeed later in life.
