3+2 Pathway for a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in Conjunction with an Undergraduate Major in One of the Following:

This unique program allows you to earn a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science, Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience, or Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT)—in just five years.

Early Assurance Admission Criteria

To be considered for the 3+2 MSOT Pathway, applicants must:

  • Complete at least one semester of full-time study at UMU as a Human Development and Family Science, Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience, or Exercise Science major and earn a minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Submit the UMU MSOT Early Assurance Application
  • Complete the application by the published deadline

To Maintain 3+2 Program Eligibility:
• Keep a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in prerequisite courses
• Earn at least a C or better in all prerequisite coursework
• Fulfill all major requirements before beginning MSOT coursework
• Submit a formal MSOT application (summer before Year 4)
• Provide 2 letters of recommendation (Fall, one year before matriculation)
