Career Readiness in College
Mount Union offers a variety of experiential learning opportunities, including internships and career fairs designed to connect students with potential employers. One valuable resource is the career development office led by Marci Mukleroy, who is dedicated to supporting students both during their time at Mount Union and after graduation. The job fairs that the Center for Student Success organizes feature a wide range of companies, allowing students to explore different industries, ask questions, and apply for positions that align with their interests. This direct access to employers has been an excellent way for me to gain insight into the professional world and prepare for my future career.
Building a Legacy at Mount Union
My brother enrolled at Mount Union and graduated in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, along with minors in Accounting and French. He was very involved on campus and often spoke highly of his experience—the friendships he developed, the enjoyment he found in college life, and the strong academic support he received. Witnessing how much he valued his time there made my decision to attend the university clear. I wanted to be part of a community that felt welcoming and supportive. For me, being deeply involved in the arts community while also participating in the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega has allowed me to connect with different groups and explore multiple interests. Mount Union encourages what they call an “and” approach—pushing students not only to get involved on campus but to engage as fully as possible to maximize their college experience.
