I loved attending Mount Union because of its strong athletic culture, with many team and individual national champions across a wide range of sports. I also enjoyed learning from many of the professors, as it was clear that they genuinely cared about their students and their futures.

A Skillset that Led to a Successful Career

My time on the Track & Field team, Black Student Union (BSU), and Sister Circle prepared me for my career. Track & field instilled discipline, time management, and the importance of incremental progress towards a long term goal. BSU and Sister Circle taught me the value of advocacy, emotional intelligence, and creating inclusive spaces. These experiences taught me to lead with both strength and empathy which have allowed me to navigate professionally with confidence and a community-focused mindset.

Life after Mount Union

As a product operations analyst, I support the successful launch, adoption, and ongoing improvement of internal healthcare products by coordinating product rollouts, building dashboards to analyze user data and feedback, and creating training and documentation. I collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to improve workflows, enhance EMR systems, and ensure tools effectively support clinicians and patient care. I enjoy helping keep patients healthy, out of the hospital, and connected to cost-effective healthcare. Even when my work happens behind the scenes, such as using data analytics to identify trends in user behavior, improving new product implementation, or enhancing EMR systems, I know it plays an important role in improving patient care.

Loving Mount Union

I loved attending Mount Union because of its strong athletic culture, with many team and individual national champions across a wide range of sports. I enjoyed cheering everyone on during competitions and seeing how happy and proud they were when they succeeded. Beyond athletics, I appreciated the beauty of the campus and how modern and well-maintained everything was. I also enjoyed learning from many of the professors, as it was clear that they genuinely cared about their students and their futures. Staying connected means staying present. I love attending the homecoming football games and I attend other sporting events like basketball games and track meets. I follow Mount Union on all social media platforms and I stay in touch with my life long friends I met during my time at Mount Union.
