Career Goals in Marketing
My ultimate career goal is to be the director of a marketing company. After a while, I would also love to open a gym and be co-ownwer of it with my Dad. Mount is preparing me for this by giving me hands-on opportunities, working with clients in classes. In one of my marketing courses, I worked with a client on a project, and thanks to that experience and to being outgoing, I have landed a summer internship for summer 2026.
Impactful Faculty Member
During my campus tours as student ambassador, I always talk about my advisor and professor, Joel Evans. Professor Evans is very easy to talk to and is always there when I just want to rant about life, talk about track, or need help with marketing issues. I took one of his introductory courses in the marketing program and he quickly became one of my favorite professors. After a semester, he became my advisor and oversees all my academic progress and makes sure I’m on top of things in and out of the classroom. He’s genuinely the best professor I’ve had in my academic journey - high school included. He’s one of the main reasons why I’ve stayed at Mount.
Overcoming Obstacles in College
Being the oldest child, moving away for college was difficult. I felt bad because I wouldn’t be helping with things around our house or helping my grandparents. I struggled a lot during my first semester. But when I met my friends on campus, I felt at home. I started to fall in love with Mount and everything part of the campus.
