Faculty Lecture
The Faculty Lecture featuring Kevin Kern will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2027 at 7 p.m.
Kern is a professor of theatre and the Eckler endowed chair for American Literature and Drama at The University of Mount Union. He is also the founding artistic director of Shakespeare at the Castle.
His research interests include Applied Theatre, the use of theatrical techniques, and performance to create meaningful learning experiences. Building on this work, he developed the Standardized Patient Program at Mount Union, integrating trained actors into the Physician Assistant and Nursing programs to provide students with realistic, experiential opportunities to develop clinical and communication skills.
Kern will present, "Shakespeare as Everyman: Kinship With Hamlet Without Killing Your Uncle."
