Nicole Condon-Shih Art Reception
The University of Mount Union’s Sally Otto Gallery will host an exhibit featuring works by artist, Nicole Condon-Shih.
Condon-Shih creates immersive installations that explore the intersection of art, science, and emerging technology. Through interdisciplinary research, she investigates hidden biological and environmental systems, moving across scales from the microscopic to the cosmic to reveal new ways of seeing and imagining possible futures. Condon-Shih’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism & Architecture (Hong Kong) and the B3 Biennale of the Moving Image (Beijing), and has been commissioned by Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland) and collected by Summa Health Systems (Akron). She is Professor and Division Chair at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will open on August 24 and run through September 24. An artist’s reception will be held in the same location on August 27 from 4-6 p.m. For more information about this, and upcoming exhibits, contact Mike Schmidt at schmidmi@mountunion.edu.
