Why Mount Union?

I grew up around Mount Union since my hometown is so close. I was able to see all of the things the university does for its students and the kind of community it has created, which made me always want to come here. I was also recruited to play on the university soccer team. The friendships and connections I have made here throughout my academic career truly make it feel like a second home. I have support in everything I do, whether it is from friends, professors, coaches, or advisors.

Experiential Learning

I have held two internships through Mount Union. The first internship was at the Ohio Department of Transportation where I got to shadow a construction engineer on numerous road construction sites. This was a cool experience because I gained experience learning about a tunnel job. My second internship was at Beaver Constructors. Here, I got to shadow project managers, see how projects are bid, and all that goes into making sure a project runs smoothly. I enjoyed this experience because I got to see construction from a different perspective.

Impactful Faculty

Dr. Tritico has had a big impact on my experience at Mount Union. He not only is my professor, but also my academic advisor. I know I can go to Dr. Tritico with questions, and he will answer honestly and if he doesn't know, he will find the answer for me. He also gives good advice about what to expect in the real world along with uselful tips to use in my career as an engineer.
