Biology major

Mount Union’s strong alumni network gave me the opportunity to learn more about this incredible school. After that, I knew I wanted to tour the campus, and once I experienced the community in person, I was sure that Mount Union was where I wanted to be.

Experiential Learning Opportunities

Our medical-related courses have not only allowed for patient care hours, but the clubs we have on campus are very passionate and allow for you to get certifications and gain hands-on experiences. My goal is to become a doctor of medicine. Mount Union helps me achieve this goal by giving me a strong and solid science foundation.

Overcoming Obstacles

An obstacle I’ve had to overcome to get to this point was moving to the United States by myself. Leaving my family, friends, and everything behind was a challenge. The new culture and way of living forced me to come out of my comfort zone and become more independent, which was great because it helped me make lots of friends and meet wonderful people! Mount Union’s strong alumni network gave me the opportunity to learn more about this incredible school. After that, I knew I wanted to tour the campus, and once I experienced the community in person, I was sure that Mount Union was where I wanted to be. The smaller campus allows you to not only become friends with your classmates but also build close relationships with your professors. Seeing friends while you walk to classes or go to athletic events will make Mount Union truly feel like home!
