Why Music?
I love to perform a wide variety of music, and teaching at the collegiate level allows me to share this with my students.
Students As Musicians
Working with the students and watching them grow as musicians and as humans is extremely rewarding. I love that I am able to perform with, conduct, and coach so many wonderful people.

Roy Haynes' 75th birthday concert at the Blue Note in New York.
Travel
One of the best places I've ever visited was Cape Town, South Africa.
