Deciding on Mount Union
Mount Union is in my hometown and has always been a dream school of mine. I was honored to receive the Investment Alliance Scholarship. Mount Union is not just a second home, it is my home. I grew up with weekend Mount games and Mount Union being involved in the city events. My advice to high schoolers is to take advantage of the college opportunities your school offers. I was able to place myself at sophomore standing during my freshman year, so high school classes do help in the long run.
Well-Rounded Experience
I have learned real world applications for all my science due to hands on labs. I was also able to learn about what my interests are due to all the extracurriculars Mount Union has to offer. I will be able to stand out from others in my profession because I now have literature, math, and foreign language capabilities.
Future Goals
I chose biochemistry because I have wanted to take part in the medical field. After taking Anatomy and Physiology, I knew science was the route I wanted to take. After graduation, I plan on attempting to attend Mount Union's Physician Assistant Program. So, Mount Union will offer me the best path into my career and make me fully prepared for graduate school.
